This past Saturday, 1\10, Rec played host to special guests invited by Kehau. We took a little departure from our regular iRec schedule to assist her in this outreach. Eighteen students from Beuna Vista University, Iowa, were here for a Hawaiian culture study program.
Let's see if I remember the paddlers who helped yesterday ...Coach Ken, Coach Jimmy, Lynn B., Coach Vernon, Robert F., JoAnn, Amy, Jo-El, Lita, Jessica, Alan, Troy, Rho, Rowen, Roger, Lee & Kehau.

Dr. Swasti Bhattacharyya, their student chaperone, was very, very happy for the great time they all had paddling. She gave me a disk with about 200 photos on it ... which we'll post on the blogsite later on so be on the lookout for them.
iRec will return to it's normal schedule next Saturday, 1\17, with it's 1 hr. run; either around the island or out to the buoy and back. So, please inform Maria or Lita by signing up on-line if you plan to attend.
Also, please inform us if you plan on attending NHCF DCAT this year...Kehau needs a count if we plan on attending as a team ministry. Anybody interested, please let me know. I plan on going to couple evening meetings but can not attend during work hours. Thanks!
