This is Coach Kimo, Happy New Year!
I received a last minute call from Coach Aka Hemmings with the "Pure Light" project. He needs "helping hands" and "servant hearts" for his once a month outreach on Sat., Jan. 16, 8:30am - 12 noon, Kailua Beach Park, (across from Buzz's restaurant next to big restroom)
He needs people to serve in the food tent, registration and signing waivers, as well as paddlers for the canoes with physically challenged people that come from various hospitals and local handicapped agencies.

Coach Aka has been a blessing to our Rec ohana for many years and at this time he is also in the reorganizing process for his non-profit group that is in need for some new helping hands and servant hearts.
Plus, I grew up in Lanikai, Kailua Bay is one of my favorite places to paddle - it's clear, cool waters with beautiful white sand make's it a beautiful setting to enjoy fellowship and prayer with these very special individuals.
