Coach's Comments for Sat. Sept. 26th '09

Hi Everyone,

This is Coach Kimo and what a Special Weekend it was..Rec on Saturday - Baptism on Sunday.

It never ceases to amaze me of all the alumni ohana in our ministry, that somehow they manage to show up on our beaches for a surprise visit. Kristine Tanaka brought two of her friends to paddling this Saturday - and it was so great to see her again. She played a vital role in our 2005 season when Rec crossed the Molokai Channel for a once-in-a-life-time experience of racing from Molokai to Oahu. I gained a great respect for her effortless administrative skills and her dedication for the Lord's work in keeping us all focused and prepared during those trying times.
In addition, Travis and family came to Rec this Saturday and amazingly enough brought their mom, Mryna Featheran, to the beach for a short visit. She was lovely, she was talking and she was healed. Praise the Lord! Travis said she still has some recovery to do but, for the most part, she's on the right track.
Also, Sunday was New Hope's baptism at Magic Island. Mrs. Coach and I had the great privilege of watching our own Rec paddler, Everett, get baptized this Sunday. He was a joy to watch and so excited to be officially in God's family.

And lastly, thanks to everyone for your prayers and support for our daughter Pomai, baby Malie is doing great. Pls keep our oldest daughter in prayer, Kaui, who lives in Anchorage, and is expecting a baby real, real soon.

God is Good, All the Time...!!!
Coach Kimo
