Aloha Rec Ohana,
Wow, it's been a busy week. Mrs. Coach and I will be spending time on Maui this weekend assisting our close family friend who lost her husband, Danny, last week from heart failure. It was so unexpected. Please pray for the Ordonez family; surviving wife and children - Anna, Kamuela, Pono & Kia.
I will be on the beach early this Saturday morning while Coach Ken will be taking the day off. Travis & Jimmy Aka will be helping to run the Rotation Paddling. Maria & Lita will help with Admin table. I'll be leaving early to catch a plane for Maui.
Last Saturday was a great success with our Brunch on the Beach event, thank you for all who brought and donated that Great, Great FOOD.
I also had opportunity to share thoughts about our new "Steering Committee Ohana" with a group of wonderfully ministry driven Rec paddlers. It's a concept of teaching our experienced paddlers and administration group all the details of successfully running of this ministry. It's so important that we're all on the same page.
I'm going to keep this message short only because I'm submitting it so late in the week.
Thanks for your understanding and patience...and thanks for your prayers too. The next time you get the chance, pls say "Thank You" to Lita Aka and Maria Zitney for their dedicated effort and work with our Rec blog-site, it just gets better and better.
God bless all of you,
Coach Kimo
